What Longstory does
Longstory takes medical documents you already have — scans, photos, PDFs, letters — and turns them into a history you can read, search and hand to a doctor. Everything it shows you comes from documents you provided. It has no other source.
It is not medical advice
Longstory is an informational tool. It does not provide medical advice, and it is not a substitute for professional diagnosis or treatment. In an emergency, call your local emergency number — do not use this app.
Longstory does not diagnose, and it is built so that it cannot. It reads your reports back to you and cites the page each statement came from. Where a value appears marked, that mark is the laboratory’s own — quoted back to you, not our reading of the number. Before you act on anything you read here, check it against the original document and talk to a qualified clinician.
What can go wrong
You should know the specific ways this software fails, not just that it might:
- Text extraction can misread a page. Handwriting, faint scans, unusual layouts and photographs taken at an angle all cause errors. A digit can be transposed. A unit can be dropped. A number can be attached to the wrong row of a table.
- A report can be split in the wrong place. One upload often holds several separate reports, and the boundary between them is inferred. We show you our reading and ask you to confirm it before anything appears in your history.
- Generated explanations can be wrong. A language model can produce a confident, fluent, incorrect sentence. Every one carries a citation so you can check it against the page.
- The app does not know your full history. It knows only the documents you have added — not your clinician’s notes, and not anything you have not given it.
We make no warranty that anything the app produces is accurate, complete, current or suitable for any clinical purpose.
The records you add
They are yours. Adding a document gives us no ownership of it. We use it only to provide the service to you, and the Privacy Policy describes exactly what that involves — including which company reads your documents and what they may do with them. Read it before you add anything.
By adding a document you confirm that it is yours, or that you are entitled to hold it for the person it is about — a child in your care, or a relative who has asked you to. Do not upload another adult’s medical records without their agreement.
Sharing
You can give another person access to a profile. They see only what you granted and only that profile; you can withdraw it at any moment; and their access is recorded where you can see it. Paying for someone’s account gives you no access to their records — those are two different things and we keep them apart deliberately.
Payment
Subscriptions, if and when offered, are purchased through the App Store or Google Play inside the mobile apps — never on this website. Billing, refunds and cancellation happen in your Apple or Google subscription settings.
Ending it
You can delete your account at any time from Settings. Everything goes, with no recovery window — that is deliberate. We may suspend or end access if you break these terms, if there is a security risk, or if we stop offering the service; except where impossible, we will give reasonable notice and a chance to export your records first.
Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for a decision made in reliance on the app’s output without checking it against the source document and a clinician. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that cannot lawfully be limited — and if you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
